Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct is designed to ensure that our online school remains a positive and productive learning environment for all students. As part of this policy, students are expected to:

• Contribute positively to the learning environment, understanding that their participation impacts their classmates' experiences.
• Use online systems respectfully and appropriately, recognizing that these platforms are shared by all students.
• Take credit only for work that is entirely their own.

Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Discrimination and harassment based on race, age, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status are prohibited. This includes derogatory remarks, slurs, and other hostile, intimidating, or abusive conduct. This policy applies to all students, employees, patrons, vendors, and associated individuals. Violations of academic integrity may result in disciplinary actions per school policy.

Sexual harassment is illegal and violates school policy. Polaris committed to providing a fair, equitable, and harassment-free environment for students and employees. Students who commit sexual harassment will face disciplinary action per school policy. Retaliation against those who report or participate in investigations of sexual harassment is not allowed.

Students who violate academic policies may face disciplinary measures in accordance with the school's behavior policy.

Academic Integrity Policies and Procedures

Students enrolled in Polaris Global Academy will adhere to the academic integrity policy outlined below. Any violation of this policy can result in disciplinary action and may jeopardize the student’s continuation in the course and the award of academic credit.

Maintaining high academic integrity means that all work submitted by a student is their own and reflects the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

• Plagiarism involves copying or using someone else's ideas or words without proper attribution, whether from the internet, books, or other sources. When in doubt, students should cite their sources. Virtual Instructors and On-Demand Tutors are available to assist with proper citation practices. Instructors use technology to check for plagiarism, and confirmed instances will result in consequences determined by Polaris administration, potentially including removal from the course with a failing grade.
• Cheating on assessments or tests includes copying from another student or using unauthorized materials during an exam. Students found guilty of cheating will face serious academic penalties.

Academic Integrity Violations and Consequences
